Senior Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Engineer will lead the development and execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance programs to ensure safety, reliability and optimal availability of plant assets. This role focuses on reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and optimise maintenance strategies for electrical and instrument equipment using RCM, FMECA and other structured tools.
• Implement performance‑assurance programmes, identify gaps and drive corrective action plans.
• Prepare scopes of work, evaluate technical proposals, manage contracts and supervise major planned maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and support technology upgrades of obsolete systems.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and resources to maintain safe plant operation.
• Develop major shutdown plans for electrical and instrument assets and integrate them into overall plant shutdown schedules.
• Promote AI‑based predictive maintenance solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
• Supervise, train and develop the maintenance team while contributing to budget preparation and control.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale maintenance projects and shutdowns.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of applying RCM, FMECA and RCA methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
