Senior Maintenance & Repair Engineer

About the role

EDGE Group is looking for a Senior Maintenance & Repair Engineer to lead maintenance, troubleshooting and field deployment of advanced radar and electronic warfare systems in Abu Dhabi. The role combines deep RF and radar engineering expertise with hands‑on fault diagnosis to ensure system reliability and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, hardware testing and complex fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and circuit diagrams.
• Lead root‑cause failure analysis for radar anomalies and develop long‑term corrective actions.
• Manage a team of technicians and junior engineers, delegating tasks, providing mentorship and enforcing SOPs.
• Coordinate spare‑parts inventory, procurement and supply‑chain replenishment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, update schematics and ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
• Lead field deployment of operational systems, gather performance data and document testing results.
• Collaborate with system, mechanical, software and algorithm engineers to guarantee system availability.

Required profile

• Native Arabic speaker.
• 5‑7 years of hardware and software engineering experience focused on radar or electronic‑warfare applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of RF principles and radar theory (Doppler, pulse compression, beamforming).
• Proficiency with simulation tools such as CST, AWR or ANSYS HFSS.
• Experience with RF testing equipment (spectrum analyser, network analyser, oscilloscope).
• Hands‑on experience with phased‑array, pulse‑Doppler and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems.
• Radar and EW signal‑processing expertise.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and perform RCFA.
