Senior Manager AI & Smart Data

About the role

Transguard Workforce Solutions is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Senior Manager AI & Smart Data for a position based in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the development and implementation of data management, analytics, AI, machine learning and business intelligence solutions, sets up a data governance framework and drives AI-driven insights for strategic decisions. It covers predictive analytics, data quality, master data management and BI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the data and AI center of excellence and the AI and BI roadmap with senior leadership
• Develop data and AI use cases and take part in building and deploying AI models
• Design and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics models, and make insights accessible to business users
• Clean, transform and analyze structured and unstructured data, and perform feature engineering
• Oversee self-service BI, data visualization tools and data pipelines, and integrate AI models with existing systems
• Define KPIs and track ROI, and establish data and AI governance policies
• Partner with InsurTech firms and AI vendors, and promote Responsible AI and UAE regulatory compliance

Required profile

• 12+ years in AI, data science or business intelligence, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in insurance or financial services
• Experience with data fabric and data mesh frameworks and delivering data and AI solutions
• Knowledge of data privacy, security and AI ethics

Required skills

• Python, R, Java; TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, LightGBM
• Large language models and NLP (Transformers, GPT, BERT, T5, LLaMA)
• MLOps and DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, CI/CD
• Extensive Azure experience (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Database, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services)
• Git, JIRA, SQL, NoSQL, Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense
• Data modeling, MDM, ETL/ELT and real-time analytics
