Senior Manager - Construction (Fujairah Expansion)

About the role

The Ports Cluster is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Construction to provide strategic oversight and day-to-day leadership for the Fujairah port expansion programme. The role requires rigorous safety and quality standards, strict compliance with local regulations and disciplined budget and schedule control across marine and landside construction. Key responsibilities

• Provide HSE oversight and enforcement for all construction activities and promote a positive HSE culture.
• Manage all construction activities across the assigned projects and oversee construction quality.
• Ensure construction compliance with group governance, external stakeholders and cluster requirements.
• Manage site interfaces and dependencies across projects and sites, and monitor risks, resolving issues and updating mitigation plans.
• Oversee marine and landside works (quay walls, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation, yard pavements and utilities) in line with approved designs, method statements and programme.
• Coordinate construction with live port and terminal operations at Fujairah to minimise disruption and keep works safely segregated.
• Prepare reports to management on Fujairah expansion construction matters and present performance improvement initiatives based on data analysis and forecasting.
• Lead and coordinate site-based consultants, contractors, supply chains and operational teams, and develop a collaborative culture.
• Build relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants and contractors, and support continuous improvement of departmental working practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a similar role, including 10 years delivering construction projects and 5 years in a senior construction management position.
• Experience leading construction activities within a contracting organisation and on large port, marine or maritime infrastructure projects such as quay walls, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation.
• Project management experience covering planning, execution and oversight from concept to implementation.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and strategic mindset, with proven success driving initiatives that deliver business growth.
• Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage.
