Senior Manager - Emergency Planning

About the role

Dubai Airports is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Emergency Planning programme at Dubai International Airport. The role ensures that emergency plans, exercises and stakeholder coordination are effective, compliant and ready to support the airport during any major incident or crisis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the DXB Emergency Planning programme, setting priorities, deliverables and milestones.
• Develop, review and maintain aerodrome emergency plans, procedures and supporting documentation in line with regulatory requirements and the airport’s Response & Recovery Planning framework.
• Plan and deliver the annual emergency exercise programme, including scenario development, stakeholder coordination, facilitation and post‑exercise reporting.
• Oversee audit, assurance and regulatory compliance activities, preparing evidence, responses and corrective actions.
• Capture lessons learned from exercises, incidents and audits, ensuring they are tracked and incorporated into plans and capability improvements.
• Engage and coordinate with internal teams, airport partners, government authorities, emergency responders and regulatory bodies to sustain multi‑agency preparedness.
• Coordinate emergency planning training and awareness activities to strengthen organisational readiness.
• Prepare and communicate programme updates, assurance reports and management information to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Planning, Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management, Incident Response or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of overall experience, including 5–7 years in emergency planning, crisis management or incident response within an aviation environment.
• Professional certification in Emergency Planning, Crisis Management, Business Continuity or Incident Response (e.g., CBCI) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of airport operations, aerodrome emergency planning frameworks, regulatory compliance and emergency exercise management.
