Senior Manager – Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

About the role

Julphar is seeking a senior leader to drive its Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) agenda across the Ras Al Khaimah manufacturing campus. The campus hosts multiple production lines, warehouses, laboratories and utilities, requiring a proactive, prevention‑focused approach to occupational safety, health, environmental and process‑safety risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site EHS strategy, objectives and annual improvement plans aligned with UAE regulations, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Act as the principal EHS advisor to site leadership, fostering ownership of safety across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain and laboratory functions.
• Lead risk identification, assessment and mitigation for occupational, environmental and process‑safety hazards.
• Oversee incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation.
• Manage the permit‑to‑work, lockout‑tagout and management‑of‑change processes.
• Drive contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with emergency‑response procedures.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and report to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive EHS experience in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and Ras Al Khaimah regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and embed a safety culture.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
