Senior Manager - Legal Affairs

About the role

Provide strategic legal advice and direction to the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while minimizing risk and supporting efficient decision‑making by executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, manage and mitigate legal and commercial risks in contractual arrangements.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to manage risk.
• Lead contractual negotiations and support execution of transactions.
• Develop and maintain standard terms of business and template library.
• Oversee claim management and dispute resolution, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
• Provide legal advice to ADGM Authority, Board of Directors and other ADGM entities.
• Instruct and manage external counsel in line with procurement processes.
• Mentor junior legal team members and review their performance.

Required profile

• Law degree from an internationally accredited university.
• Admission to the bar or practice of law in a recognised international jurisdiction, preferably common law.
• 8‑10 years post‑qualification experience in a top law firm or in‑house legal function, with strong corporate/commercial background.
