Senior Manager – Procurement

About the role

Alef Group, a pioneer in developing lifestyle communities and destinations, is looking for a Senior Manager – Procurement to lead end‑to‑end procurement and tendering for its real‑estate development projects in Sharjah. The role ensures cost efficiency, transparency, and compliance while supporting project delivery from concept to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and timelines.
• Establish procurement policies, delegation of authority, and approval workflows.
• Manage pre‑qualification, tendering, evaluation, and award of consultants, main contractors, specialist subcontractors, and long‑lead suppliers.
• Prepare RFPs, ITTs, scopes of services, BOQs, and commercial evaluation models.
• Validate cost plans, consultant rates, and contractor pricing; identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Oversee preparation and execution of consultancy and main‑contract agreements, including amendments and variations.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Project teams to ensure proper risk allocation and commercial protections.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and monitor UAE construction market trends.
• Mentor and lead the procurement team, providing regular reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Bilingual or native English speaker with strong communication skills.
• Extensive experience managing procurement and tendering for real‑estate development projects.
• Proven ability to develop procurement strategies, enforce governance, and ensure compliance.
• Experience in commercial risk management, value engineering, and contractor performance monitoring.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring procurement teams.
