Senior Manager – Stage Direction

About the role

The Senior Manager – Stage Direction will support the Entertainment Director and oversee the artistic and operational aspects of daily live productions for a leading retail entertainment venue in Dubai. This role combines creative leadership with hands‑on production management to ensure high‑quality shows that meet park requirements and audience expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Entertainment Director and coordinate with Production, Technical and Wardrobe managers to deliver daily live shows.
• Manage artistic and creative elements of all live productions, overseeing development, operation and continuous enhancement.
• Lead Assistant Show Directors, Performance Captains, Junior Choreographers and other live show staff.
• Develop and document processes, scripts, blocking charts, music recordings and related materials.
• Provide creative input for special events, external rentals and corporate functions.
• Maintain a library of resources for entertainment production and drive creative efforts for marquee and seasonal events.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Dance, Theatre or related field; Master’s in Theatrical Studies or Business Administration is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience directing live entertainment shows in theme parks, theatres, festivals or special events.
• Strong knowledge of scriptwriting, choreography, costume design and themed live shows; video/audio production experience preferred.
• Professional training in dance, stunts or acting with strong presentation, communication and multi‑project management abilities.
