Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Raytheon is building the Coyote factory in the United Arab Emirates, a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies. As a Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will lead and coordinate with US counterparts to set up the UAE facility, providing technical manufacturing assistance from early development through transition to full-scale production. The role is onsite at the Tawazun Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure production readiness and improve producibility
• Take part in manufacturing and test requirements development
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool and fixture designs
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes
• Guide and solve problems for the assembly and quality teams
• Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Recommend process and procedural changes to meet cost, efficiency and quality objectives
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to design, control and improve product producibility, and resolve constraints across the program
• Participate in corrective action investigations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Experience in manufacturing production with process development or improvement
• Experience with technical writing, interpreting technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences

Required skills

• Technical drawing interpretation, GD&T and CAD solid modeling (CREO/ProE preferred)
• Preferred: MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
• Preferred: hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to work across disciplines, and good communication with shop floor teams and senior management
