Senior Material Planner

About the role

The Senior Material Planner will ensure timely and accurate material availability for production in Dubai by coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. This role supports uninterrupted operations, optimal inventory control and responsive planning to forecast changes and market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Validate delivery schedules, release purchase orders and maintain real‑time tracking of material flow.
• Follow up with suppliers to guarantee on‑time material availability and resolve delivery issues.
• Monitor material shortages for current and up to three‑month production plans and drive timely replenishment.
• Incorporate demand forecasts and market changes into planning decisions.
• Identify, analyse and escalate supply‑chain risks, performing Pareto and root‑cause analysis to address delays and inefficiencies.
• Review and optimise planning parameters such as reorder points and safety stock.
• Build collaborative relationships with suppliers and leverage digital tools to automate tasks.
• Use ERP systems efficiently, develop planning expertise and work with ERP consultants on system improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a diploma in Supply Chain Management.
• At least 5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain or procurement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and planning/logistics systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using Power BI or AI‑based tools for automation.
