Senior Materials Officer

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Senior Materials Officer to lead inventory and asset management for its technical operations in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure optimal stock levels, cost‑effective procurement and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Review open requisitions and raise orders to guarantee timely spare availability at optimal cost.
• Generate purchase, sales and service orders, and verify invoices for prompt payment.
• Calculate, analyse and update reorder points in the ERP system for consumables and fixed assets.
• Recommend inventory levels based on demand forecasting, aircraft operations and fleet changes.
• Support provisioning, scrap activities and tools calibration scheduling.
• Monitor component performance against OEM guarantees and coordinate FOC spare support.
• Prepare and analyse inventory holding reports and dashboards.
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams for lease‑return, component modifications and other optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of aviation inventory or asset management experience.
• Proven track record in procurement, contract and supplier management.
• Familiarity with technical manuals (IPC, ITM, MPD) and OEM support contracts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
