Senior Materials Planning Specialist

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Senior Materials Planning Specialist to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw and packaging materials for its pharmaceutical production lines. The role combines strategic planning, inventory control, and cross‑functional collaboration to support high‑quality product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in SAP to align material supply with production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, reorder points, and expiry risks, taking proactive actions to avoid stock‑outs.
• Identify and escalate critical material shortages, assessing impact on finished‑product availability.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to track deliveries, resolve delays, and manage supply risks.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, QA, QC, Regulatory Affairs, and Warehouse to ensure smooth material flow.
• Maintain accurate material master data, lead times, and planning parameters in SAP.
• Perform risk analysis and scenario planning for supply delays, demand spikes, and regulatory constraints.
• Prepare and present planning KPIs, shortage reports, and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Support S&OP and supply review meetings with material readiness insights.
• Drive continuous‑improvement and automation initiatives while adhering to GMP, GDP, and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Materials or Supply Planning, preferably in pharma/healthcare.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP (MRP, material master, procurement integration).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
