Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Egis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead supervision and inspection of all mechanical works during the construction phase of themed entertainment and large‑scale interior fit‑out projects. The role ensures compliance with design, specifications, authority requirements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire‑fighting, fuel and gas systems.
• Review contractor submissions (shop drawings, material submittals, method statements) and conduct regular site inspections.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, interior design, structural, electrical and specialist systems.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, TAB, integrated systems testing and final handover.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical assessments and support authority approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; professional registration preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in construction supervision consultancy.
• Proven experience on theme parks, attractions, museums, water parks or large interior fit‑out projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and international mechanical standards.
