Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) – Greenfield

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) to join its Abu Dhabi PMC team for a major offshore greenfield project. The role will be based at the client or contractor office in Abu Dhabi and will oversee the engineering, design review, and technical management of static equipment throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for static equipment on offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Prepare and review design basis, specifications, datasheets, and technical requisitions.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables for pressure vessels, separators, heat exchangers, columns & towers, filters & strainers, pig launchers, storage tanks, and fired heaters.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, operability, maintainability, safety standards, and ADNOC/international codes.
• Review fabrication drawings, calculations, inspection requirements, and material selections.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations, manage vendor communications, and support procurement decisions.
• Coordinate with process, piping, structural, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering of static equipment for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, international codes, and offshore project life‑cycle phases (FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
• Ability to lead design reviews, manage vendor interfaces, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
