Senior Mechanical Supervisor – HVAC & Construction

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Supervisor will lead all mechanical construction activities for HVAC systems on oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial projects. Reporting to project management, the role ensures that ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment installation and related works are executed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical construction activities related to HVAC systems, including ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment installation, insulation and associated works.
• Lead Mechanical Supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and construction crews to achieve project objectives and milestones.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, work procedures and project specifications before execution.
• Monitor work progress, productivity, manpower utilization and material availability to meet schedule.
• Ensure installations comply with project specifications, applicable codes, client requirements and approved IFC drawings.
• Coordinate testing, pre‑commissioning, punch‑list clearance and mechanical completion activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery or industrial projects.
• Supervisory or construction‑management training preferred; additional HSE certifications advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment installation, testing and commissioning support.
