Senior Merchandising Executive

About the role

Careem is building the Everything App for the Middle East, bringing together mobility, food, groceries, payments and more. The Senior Merchandising Executive will own the in‑app storefront and drive data‑backed merchandising strategies to boost conversion and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the in‑app storefront, including home page, category landing pages and carousels.
• Partner with Product and Tech teams to scope, prioritize and deliver enhancements that support merchandising needs.
• Oversee the merchandising calendar, ensuring timely updates and flawless execution of promotional plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Category Management and Supply Chain to launch impactful campaigns.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives and leverage AI tools for content generation, creative variations and automation.
• Analyze user behavior and sales performance to continuously optimise the app’s look and feel.
• Track and report campaign performance metrics, using insights to refine future planning.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of proven experience in merchandising, e‑commerce or a related role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent project‑management and organisational abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools to drive efficiency in campaign planning and execution.
• Collaborative mindset with exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Creative, customer‑first thinker passionate about enhancing the digital shopping experience.
• Proficiency with analytics dashboards and merchandising software platforms.
