Senior Officer – Model Risk

About the role

Nair Systems is seeking a Senior Officer – Model Risk to join its UAE operations. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing credit risk models that comply with IFRS 9 and AIRB standards, while ensuring ongoing monitoring and validation in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement IFRS 9 and AIRB compliant credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD).
• Develop application, behavioural and collections scorecards and macro‑economic default models using linear and logistic regression, CHAID segmentation and cluster analysis.
• Monitor and validate credit risk models against Basel and other regulatory guidelines.
• Extract and transform data from databases using SQL and BO Reports for analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk and financial services, quantitative modelling.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS 9 regulations and end‑to‑end ECL calculation and reporting.
