Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer to lead pipeline engineering activities across Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering phases for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring safe, high‑quality designs that meet international codes and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and independently execute pipeline engineering scope for Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering.
• Develop, review and enforce design strategies, standards and procedures.
• Perform and supervise pipeline calculations, mechanical design, routing optimisation, stress analysis, buckling and buoyancy assessments.
• Design and optimise crossings, support structures, valve stations and hot‑tap operations.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.4, B31.8, API RP 1101 and other relevant codes.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and coordinate technical interfaces with clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of pipeline engineering experience (≈120 months).
• Proven experience in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering for oil & gas pipelines.
• Strong technical leadership and mentorship abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of international pipeline codes and standards.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality, safe designs on schedule.
