Senior Planning Engineer – Construction (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning and scheduling of large‑scale civil construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves developing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, analysing delays and coordinating closely with project managers and site teams to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and work plans using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare and maintain baseline schedules, track progress and update forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor performance against the approved schedule, identify delays or risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Produce progress reports, dashboards and planning documentation for management review.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and site teams to align planning activities with on‑site execution.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with UAE construction standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning within the UAE.
• Proven experience handling large‑scale civil projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify project risks.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
