Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the planning function for oil and gas EPC projects, ensuring that realistic, risk‑aware schedules are delivered and integrated across all disciplines. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, offshore installation and commissioning teams to provide accurate progress measurement and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/Level 4 project schedules in line with ADNOC standards.
• Prepare and manage the overall baseline schedule covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor actual progress, identify delays, perform critical‑path analysis and recommend mitigation actions.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look‑ahead schedules and management presentations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to obtain accurate progress data and align subcontractor schedules.
• Maintain resource‑loaded schedules, manpower histograms and productivity forecasts.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims and schedule impact analyses.
• Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) calculations and integrate cost control with schedule performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering project planning activities for oil and gas EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based scheduling and ADNOC project standards.
• Ability to analyse schedule variances and develop recovery plans.
