Senior Planning Engineer – Road & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Planning specializing in road and infrastructure projects to join our Abu Dhabi team. In this senior position you will drive the planning, design and delivery of complex transportation solutions while ensuring compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design phases of road and infrastructure projects from concept through implementation.
• Conduct comprehensive site analyses, traffic studies and feasibility assessments.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, design standards and project documentation using industry‑leading software.
• Analyze project data and performance metrics to optimise solutions and identify improvement areas.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, government agencies and contractors.
• Oversee budget planning, cost estimation and resource allocation for assigned projects.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff, fostering professional development.
• Ensure alignment with organisational objectives and client requirements throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in road and infrastructure planning and engineering.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory, safety and sustainability standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
