Senior Platform Engineer (AWS Focus)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve secure, cloud‑native AWS and hybrid‑cloud ecosystems for a large FinTech enterprise. You will create reusable platform services that enable AI teams to develop, evaluate, and operate applications without rebuilding infrastructure, while ensuring strict security and cost‑optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable AWS AI platform services as products, contracts, and tenancy patterns for multiple AI solutions.
• Architect and deploy production‑ready AWS environments from scratch using a landing‑zone approach.
• Deploy, scale, and manage AWS AI/ML services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Rekognition, Textract, and Lookout.
• Standardize deployments with Terraform, building versioned modules, platform APIs, and SDKs.
• Engineer runtime patterns using EKS, Lambda, containers, EventBridge, queues, streams, and workflow services.
• Implement least‑privilege IAM, workload identity, secrets management, encryption, and private VPC connectivity.
• Manage API lifecycles with AWS API Gateway and Kong, ensuring secure, high‑performance communication.
• Proactively control cloud spend through FinOps practices, SKU analysis, and advanced monitoring/alerting.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Workflows, providing self‑service onboarding, templates, and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience working extensively within the AWS ecosystem.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Deep knowledge of AWS AI/ML services, especially Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Strong background in designing secure, cost‑optimized cloud architectures.
