Senior PLM Software Analyst (Contract)

About the role

EDGE, an advanced technology group headquartered in the UAE focused on defence and emerging technologies, is hiring a Senior PLM Software Analyst on a contractual basis in Abu Dhabi. The role supports production activities using PLM tools and handles L2/L3 support tickets for the PLM system.

Key responsibilities

• Support production activities using PLM, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Altium and the XPLM connector.
• Handle L2 and L3 support tickets assigned by the PLM manager.
• Analyze technical issues involving AML, IOM, C#, JavaScript, SQL, server/client methods and application logs.
• Provide workarounds, root cause analyses and permanent fixes for production incidents.
• Support package deployment, smoke testing and post-deployment validation, and upgrades of Aras Innovator R35 or later.
• Coordinate with business, CM, PLM, infrastructure, DBA, vendor and integration teams.
• Install Aras and its components on servers, maintain servers and resolve outages, and support go-live activities.
• Maintain code and SDLC best practices, license updates, effectivity services and Vault management, and monitor production uptime metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in PLM software support.
• At least 3 years of experience in Aras Innovator production support, upgrade support or L2/L3 support.
• Knowledge of configuration management principles, processes and tools (CMDB, PLM, PDM).
• English proficiency required; unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies are not accepted.

Required skills

• Aras Innovator (R35 or later), SQL Server queries, C# and JavaScript.
• Desirable: REST/SOAP/API integration, XPLM and cross-PLM integrations (Windchill-Aras), ERP/SAP integration, IIS, Vault and file replication, ITIL ticketing, performance troubleshooting.
• Desirable: CAD connectors, Aras Edge API, CATIA, Altium, and manufacturing planning, variant and quality management exposure.
