Senior Power BI Lead / Solution Architect

About the role

The client is seeking a senior professional to lead Power BI solution design and delivery, translating business and reporting needs into a governed analytics platform.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements and Excel/MIS reporting into a governed BI solution.
• Design star‑schema/dimensional models and reusable Power BI semantic models.
• Define KPI logic, measures, calculation patterns and modelling standards.
• Lead DAX, Power Query and SQL design decisions and conduct code reviews.
• Optimize performance through VertiPaq, cardinality management, aggregation, incremental refresh and storage mode selection.
• Establish security, workspace structure, deployment/release practices and governance.
• Evaluate custom visuals and advanced Power BI capabilities when standard visuals are insufficient.
• Mentor a junior developer and create reusable development patterns.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify data gaps, source dependencies and delivery risks.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of BI experience with 4–6+ years of substantial Power BI delivery.
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to work with enterprise or government data environments.
