Senior Pre-Sales Consultant

About the role

The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant advises and coordinates with the sales team on all technical issues, including solution design and pre-sales implementation. As a technical expert, the role builds strong relationships with partners and customers and drives the business through multiple technical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Build detailed designs, solution architectures and proposals for new systems, and review and document existing processes
• Evaluate software products against specified procedures and ensure user needs are met
• Define design criteria and best solutions for clients, ensuring solutions meet client requirements
• Manage the sales bid process: respond to RFI's and RFP's, create technical proposals and bid packages, and review vendor recommendations against RFQs to select the best vendors
• Schedule and allocate service resources, coordinate engineering plans from suppliers, set project schedules and integrate them into a complete system
• Lead technical sales calls and present solutions to technical and non-technical customers
• Stay up to date with market trends, products and competitors
• Lead and coach the team, build a succession plan, run performance reviews and oversee training and development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Relevant certifications are an added advantage

Required skills

• Strong expertise in one or more of: HPE, NetApp, VMware, Red Hat, Nutanix, Commvault, etc.
