Senior Principal HSE Engineer – Design Safety (EPC Detailed Engineering)

About the role

The Senior Principal HSE Engineer will lead design‑safety activities for EPC detailed engineering projects, solving complex HSE challenges that impact business direction. This senior specialist role combines innovative engineering thinking with hands‑on leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED and detailed HSE analyses and design in line with project specifications, codes and standards.
• Lead large engineering teams, directing discipline execution, schedule, budget and resource allocation.
• Act as project representative in meetings with customers, certifying authorities and third‑party auditors.
• Prepare and review design reports, safety studies, fire‑protection philosophies and related technical documentation.
• Support procurement, vendor submittal reviews and technical quality audits to ensure compliance with client and company standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HSE and fire‑protection engineering within EPC projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements, change management and variation orders.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical ideas to stakeholders.
