Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead end‑to‑end procurement for engineering, maintenance, operational and project needs within Wasael Property Management. You will act as the main liaison between Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Project teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective and compliant acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to forecast demand, consolidate requirements and develop procurement plans aligned with production, maintenance and project priorities.
• Identify critical, long‑lead, sole‑source and high‑risk items early, challenge specifications when appropriate and mitigate supply risks.
• Determine the optimal sourcing strategy – competitive bidding, limited tendering, framework agreements or OEM sourcing – and manage the full tender process.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts and oversee contract administration.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier performance and material availability to support proactive risk management and supply‑chain resilience.
• Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement engineering or a similar role within construction, property or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of technical specifications, commercial terms and supplier qualification processes.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, operations and project teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with a focus on cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
