Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

A market‑leading telecommunications business in Dubai is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead new sourcing strategies, manage high‑level negotiations and streamline procurement processes. The role includes a succession plan into management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and review supplier contracts
• Sourcing of products and services
• Implement and monitor purchasing strategies, including volume negotiations, rebate schemes, lead times and supplier capacity
• Provide strategic guidance to the procurement team
• Pre‑qualify and onboard new suppliers
• Manage strategic relationships with current suppliers
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements

Required profile

• Handle sales with quotation process while providing procurement expertise, technical advice and guidance to achieve savings and improve production speed
• Facilitate smooth information flow between purchasing, shipping, sales, production and clients
• Coordinate production schedules with sales, operations and production teams
• Check product stocks for goods ordered by procurement for artwork quality and data accuracy
