Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead the supply chain function within McDermott's Project Management Team, ensuring that procurement activities align with project requirements, client expectations, and budget constraints. This role acts as a key interface between clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive timely and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the supply chain function for assigned projects, coordinating purchasing, expediting, logistics and communication.
• Develop and execute a Project Procurement Execution Plan in collaboration with the supply chain team.
• Lead procurement strategy, negotiate contracts, and incorporate flow‑down conditions to minimise exposure.
• Serve as the single point of contact for client procurement needs and resolve disputes, claims, or performance issues.
• Maintain auditable procurement files and ensure compliance with project filing and record‑retention procedures.
• Provide regular status reporting and represent the supply chain function in project team meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and cost control.
