Senior Project Controls Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team, providing integrated project controls support for major energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and analyse integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, including baselines and recovery plans.
• Manage cost control processes, budgets, commitments, expenditure, accruals, cash flow and project forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain EAC, ETC, variance analysis and cost trends.
• Monitor physical progress and earned value indicators, identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Review contractor schedules, progress updates, forecasts, change submissions and invoice support documentation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards, performance reports and management presentations.
• Support risk registers, schedule and cost risk assessments, change control, assurance reviews and audits.
• Coordinate project controls inputs across project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commercial and client teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project controls personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 10-15 years of project controls experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical or major industrial projects.
• Experience in PMC, EPC, EPCM, FEED or major capital project delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of planning, cost engineering, forecasting, earned value management, risk and change management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE PSP/CCP are desirable.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
