Senior Project Engineer – Boutique Hotel Construction

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Project Engineer to lead the on‑site delivery of a high‑end boutique hotel in Dubai. The role bridges our remote design team and the construction site, ensuring quality, safety and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, address safety and quality concerns, and verify that construction follows approved plans, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Head of Construction to execute the construction plan, manage schedules, allocate resources and oversee material procurement.
• Maintain high standards of quality control, ensuring workmanship reflects the design’s level of detail and craftsmanship.
• Monitor construction expenses at site level, aligning with the approved budget and identifying cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate subcontractors, skilled labour and on‑site teams to sustain workflow and foster a collaborative environment.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when needed, attending meetings and contributing to key decisions.
• Act as the main point of contact between the construction site and the wider project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience across construction site functions.
• Completed at least two full‑cycle projects in Dubai, preferably in hospitality.
• Proven track record in high‑end hospitality or residential construction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve technical or logistical challenges on past projects.
• Proficiency in construction software such as AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations and construction practices.
• Fluent English for communication with international management and site teams.
