Senior Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the Project Manager on large‑scale oil & gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the main technical liaison between the client, main contractor, subcontractors and engineering consultants, ensuring smooth daily execution of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Project Manager across all project management activities.
• Liaise with main contractor and client PMT personnel, acting as the focal point for project issues.
• Identify, coordinate and resolve technical issues with engineering consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing, updating and implementing the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings, prepare minutes of meeting and follow up on actions.
• Support subcontractors on technical and contractual matters to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling and execution for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Ensure design basis is communicated, material requisitions are issued timely, and purchase orders for critical items are released.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience (≈180 months) in EPC projects within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven experience supporting senior project management on complex on‑shore and off‑shore projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation works, EPC & M processes, and client contractual requirements.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
