Senior Project Engineer – MV Switchgear

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer – MV Switchgear will lead end‑to‑end delivery of medium‑voltage switchgear projects, ensuring technical compliance, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. This role coordinates engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC and client teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of MV switchgear projects from order handover to final delivery, monitoring schedules, budgets and quality.
• Review and approve technical specifications, SLDs, GA drawings, protection schemes and submittals, ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE and local utility standards.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, consultants and contractors, handling meetings, design reviews and technical queries.
• Identify long‑lead items, coordinate procurement of breakers, relays, CTs, VTs and protection systems, and verify vendor documentation.
• Support manufacturing and testing activities, including factory acceptance tests (FAT) and type/routine testing.
• Ensure ISO‑based QA/QC procedures are followed, manage NCRs, punch lists and technical issues.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans and track corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent diploma).
• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in MV switchgear project engineering.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple disciplines.
• Strong communication skills for client and consultant interaction.
