Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of a large‑scale construction project for Al Futtaim Contracting in Dubai, ensuring alignment with the Project Director’s objectives, budget, schedule and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of high‑value construction projects, overseeing high‑rise, residential or commercial components.
• Maintain project schedule and budget, implementing controls to meet programme timelines and financial targets.
• Develop and execute a tailored delivery strategy, set processes for timeline and resource management, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage financial aspects including budgeting, cost forecasting, contract administration and profitability.
• Direct a multidisciplinary team, recruit and motivate staff, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Serve as primary client liaison, manage expectations and coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 12–15 years of experience delivering large‑scale construction projects, with a proven track record of meeting strict timelines and budgets.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, safety standards and quality assurance practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project scheduling tools – Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Budget management and cost‑control expertise.
• Risk management and quality assurance capabilities.
• Effective communication for stakeholder engagement.
