Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role covers mobilizing company resources, acting as the company representative to the client and subcontractors, overseeing project plans and budgets, and reporting progress to management.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilize company resources to build project teams capable of delivering quality work.
• Act as the company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during program execution, and negotiate changes to the scope of work.
• Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
• Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings supporting the client.
• Oversee the establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other required documents.
• Set program requirements, monitor draft and final deliverables against them, and work with managers, project engineers and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules and plans.
• Ensure the project meets or exceeds plan goals, and help devise actions to fix potential cost overruns or delays or accommodate major scope changes.
• Maintain current and timely change orders, promote technical and commercial excellence through QA processes, and report progress, milestones and risks affecting cost or schedule to management.
• Hold weekly meetings to review project status and define action items.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 18 years of related engineering construction management experience on large-scale roads and infrastructure programs.
• Experience on projects in Abu Dhabi is required.
• Major project experience of AED 1 billion or more; professional registration may also be required.
• Ability to manage projects, interface with clients and stay hands-on technically.
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, with excellent written and oral communication.
• Must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
