Senior Project Manager (Design) – Buildings

About the role

GHD is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Design Management to lead the design delivery of complex building and property projects in Abu Dhabi. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with local regulations, and drive projects from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for building and property projects, aligning with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to deliver high‑quality, timely outputs.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with local authority requirements such as ADM and ADWEA.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and change‑control processes.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and government entities.
• Support pre‑contract and post‑contract phases, including technical evaluations and tender documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management for buildings and property developments, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Proven track record managing design for high‑rise, mixed‑use, commercial or institutional buildings.
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and coordination skills.
