Senior Project Manager (Design) – Infrastructure

About the role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager – Design Management to lead design delivery of complex infrastructure and master‑planning projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process across infrastructure and master‑planning projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to deliver high‑quality, timely outputs.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with local authority requirements such as ADM and ADWEA.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and change‑control processes.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and government entities.
• Support pre‑contract and post‑contract phases, including technical evaluations and tender documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management for infrastructure and master‑planning, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Proven track record managing design for high‑rise, mixed‑use, commercial or institutional buildings.
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
