Senior Project Planner

About the role

Eurocontrolli is seeking a Senior Project Planner for its Abu Dhabi office to lead scheduling and progress control for multiple contract‑based projects in the Oil & Gas and critical infrastructure sectors. The role works closely with Project Managers, engineering and procurement teams, and directly with EPC client planning departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update Level 2 and Level 3 schedules in Primavera P6 and MS Project, aligned with contractual milestones and client WBS.
• Create resource‑loaded and cost‑loaded schedules, perform critical‑path analysis and manage float.
• Set up progress measurement systems (weight factors, S‑curves, earned‑value) and produce weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Monitor actual progress against baselines, identify deviations early and propose recovery plans.
• Support Project Managers with variation orders, extension‑of‑time claims and delay analysis using schedule evidence.
• Manage schedule interfaces across simultaneous projects, highlighting resource conflicts and bottlenecks.
• Participate in planning and progress meetings with EPC contractors and clients, responding to queries and comments.
• Maintain a company‑wide project portfolio schedule and reporting dashboard.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Planner/Scheduler on contract‑based construction or site execution projects.
• Proven ability to plan and control several projects concurrently.
• Strong understanding of EPC contract structures and contractual milestones.
