Senior Public Health Inspector (UAE Nationals)

About the role

The Senior Public Health Inspector will lead advanced inspection, investigation and health surveillance activities at UAE border ports. The role ensures compliance with national and international public health standards, supports the development of regulatory frameworks and enhances institutional performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspection operations at air, land and sea ports, verifying adherence to health and environmental regulations.
• Implement and monitor the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) for travelers and goods, aligning procedures with global health security.
• Lead complex epidemiological investigations, including contact tracing and outbreak response, in coordination with authorities.
• Provide technical guidance, on‑the‑job training and on‑site support to inspection teams to improve efficiency and quality.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, checklists and work manuals for legal, regulatory and strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate with the Authority and other stakeholders during health emergencies.
• Participate in technical committees related to ports and health surveillance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field.
• UAE national holding a Family Book (Emirati only).
• 3–7 years of relevant experience for nationals (or 10+ years for non‑nationals, though the position is limited to Emiratis).
• Preference for candidates from Dubai (Hatta), Sharjah, and Ajman.
