Senior Quantity Surveyor - Building Experience

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on large‑scale construction projects, especially high‑rise and deep‑excavation works in the UAE. The role involves overseeing contract administration, cost control, variations, claims and final account settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, negotiate and certify interim payment applications and payment certificates.
• Manage variations and change orders, including pricing, submission, negotiation and commercial recovery.
• Produce detailed cost value reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasts and cost‑to‑complete reports.
• Lead subcontract procurement, tendering, negotiations and contract finalisation.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives to optimise project costs while maintaining quality and design.
• Support preparation and substantiation of extension of time and prolongation cost claims.
• Handle commercial aspects of claims and disputes, negotiating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Compile, negotiate and agree final accounts and monitor project profitability, risks and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of continuous commercial management experience on high‑rise or deep‑excavation projects in the UAE.
• MRICS or Chartered Quantity Surveyor status preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC Red Book and Yellow Book contracts.
• Excellent understanding of UAE construction market rates and subcontractor pricing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field.
