Senior Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract

About the role

AECOM is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead key elements of the site-based post contract delivery of its cost management activities, with daily interaction with the site supervision team. The role works well within a team and independently, reaching out to the office or line manager for support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate with key members of the design team and client team
• Assist in evaluating claims
• Prepare financial updates and monthly cost reports
• Assess and value progress payments and change requests
• Review and compare scopes of work, production rates and cost data
• Prepare, review and update cash flows and earn value reports
• Estimate variation orders for contractors and subcontractors
• Evaluate and negotiate variations and change orders with the Contract Administrator, Design and Construction teams
• Evaluate and negotiate final account settlements

Required profile

• QS or Engineering degree or similar equivalent
• MRICS qualification required
• Minimum of 10 years' experience on large-scale projects
• Experience in infrastructure projects is essential
• Communication and formal English skills are considered essential
• Arabic speaking is a benefit

Required skills

• Cost and contract management techniques, budget management and change control
• Computer literate, with specific experience in cost management software
• Confident presentation and discretion with confidential project data
