Senior Quantity Surveyor – Road & Infrastructure

About the role

Al Marwan Developments seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial and contractual management of large‑scale road and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The role focuses on cost and value management, contract administration, valuations, variations and final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and in line with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project budgets, cost/value control systems and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports for senior management and maintain strong relationships with client and consultant quantity surveyors.
• Administer contracts in line with FIDIC Red and Yellow Books and UAE contract laws, handling interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Identify, evaluate and submit variations, new rates and change orders, providing commercial input for risk management and financial performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably on UAE infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, utilities, bridges, metro or airports.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE procurement processes.
• Proven ability to mentor junior QS team members and work under pressure with multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major QS and cost‑management software (CCS, Excel, ERP systems).
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication abilities.
