Senior Radiographer – General Radiology & Cath Lab

About the role

The Senior Radiographer will independently perform a wide range of radiographic imaging procedures, including general radiography, MRI, and cath‑lab imaging, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic images. The role also involves supervising junior staff, managing equipment and supplies, and supporting continuous quality improvement within the radiology department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all general radiography, MRI, and cath‑lab imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Evaluate image quality, ensure completeness, and forward images to radiologists for reporting.
• Supervise and mentor junior radiography staff, monitoring their adherence to policies and stepping in when needed.
• Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and equipment, report shortages, and approve replenishments.
• Manage safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances, and aids.
• Develop and monitor quality‑improvement indicators to uphold patient‑care standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience in a multimodality facility (including OR, trauma fluoroscopy, and general radiology); at least 2 years as a senior radiographer in an acute‑care hospital.
• UAE nationals: minimum 2 years relevant acute‑care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging, with current national licence and registration.
• Diploma or associate degree in radiography is also acceptable.
