Senior Rail Architect

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Architect specialized in rail infrastructure to join its Dubai team. You will lead the design and development of comprehensive rail solutions, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation across the region’s transportation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop rail infrastructure systems, including track layouts, stations, signaling, and operational facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to define project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry‑standard methodologies.
• Analyze system requirements and propose optimized, cost‑effective solutions that meet regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee implementation, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and participate in design reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in rail infrastructure design or related transportation systems architecture.
• Proven expertise in rail system design, including track, stations, and signaling.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and international rail best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
