Senior Registered Nurse – MSICU

About the role

The Senior Registered Nurse – MSICU will deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized care to critically ill patients in the Medical‑Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Royal Khalifa City Hospital. Working closely with physicians and allied health professionals, the nurse will coordinate treatment plans, monitor patient status, and support patients and families throughout the care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient assessments, re‑assessments and collect pertinent clinical data.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the inter‑professional team.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide wound‑care management and assist with invasive and non‑invasive procedures.
• Insert and manage invasive lines, CRRT, haemodialysis, lumbar puncture, drains, tracheostomy, cardiac output monitoring, IABP and thermoregulation devices.
• Deliver life‑support interventions including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Educate patients, families and the public about health conditions and provide emotional support.
• Document vital signs, recognise abnormalities and escalate care as needed.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with current UAE nursing license.
• Minimum several years of experience in an intensive care setting, preferably MSICU.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and patient‑centred attitude.
