Senior Resident Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to lead the delivery of assigned project packages in Dubai, ensuring schedule, budget and quality targets are met while maintaining a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of project packages, supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings and milestones.
• Conduct daily inspections, manage HSE compliance, and resolve site issues with sound engineering judgment.
• Represent AECOM in client, contractor and authority meetings, reviewing technical submittals, method statements and construction drawings.
• Oversee progress reporting, schedule updates, cost control and negotiate scope variations, claims and change requests.
• Prepare and implement Project Execution, HSE and Quality Control Plans, and mentor subordinate engineers and inspectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in a senior‑level engineering position.
• Ability to liaise with Dubai Municipality (DM) and other service authorities.
• Full knowledge of RTA standards for excavation, backfilling, safety, asphalt reinstatement and micro‑tunnelling.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong experience with Primavera P3 for project scheduling.
• Knowledge of existing sewerage networks in Dubai and DM contract conditions.
