Senior Road Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Roads to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising and monitoring road construction works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all road construction activities, including earthworks, subgrade, asphalt works, kerbs, footpaths, paving and road markings.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and RFIs.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, quality, workmanship and compliance with approved documents.
• Coordinate with surveyors, utilities, electrical, telecom and drainage teams to verify setting out and alignments.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of site supervision, inspection and quality control experience on road and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with UAE infrastructure authorities and coordination with utilities preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
