Senior Rotating Engineer - Offshore

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Rotating Engineer to lead the design and delivery of rotating equipment for offshore oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves advanced engineering, technical supervision and close interaction with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed design and EPC phases for rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps and fans.
• Prepare specifications, mechanical datasheets, procurement packages and support vendor evaluation.
• Conduct technical bid evaluation, document checking and design verification to ensure compliance with API standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, discipline leads and on‑site personnel to resolve technical issues, manage change and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore rotating equipment design for oil & gas, with proven knowledge of API‑610, 617, 618, 682, 614, 674, 675.
• Demonstrated ability to develop Basis of Design, conduct client workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, constructability) and manage procurement and third‑party packages.
• Prior involvement in Middle‑East offshore projects and strong understanding of relevant codes, standards and offshore engineering practices.

• Application of API standards (API‑610, 617, 618, 682, 614, 674, 675).
• Mechanical datasheet and specification preparation.
• Procurement support, vendor evaluation and package management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access, PowerPoint).
