Senior Rust Developer

About the role

This is a full‑time or part‑time remote position at Leino. The Senior Rust Developer will design, implement and maintain high‑performance services and applications using Rust, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, testable Rust code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Optimize performance of services and collaborate with product, DevOps and QA teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, produce technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
• Promote best practices and continuously improve development processes in distributed teams.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Rust, including ownership, borrowing, concurrency and memory management.
• Experience building backend services, APIs or micro‑services and understanding of distributed system design.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, design patterns and secure coding practices.
• Hands‑on experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Git and modern remote‑team workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
